Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 30: 2,154 new active cases of Covid-19 were detected in Kerala while 1,766 patients have recovered today as per the Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja. Of those diagnosed today, 1,962 were cases of local transmission and the source of infection in 174 cases were unknown. 49 are returnees from overseas and 110 from other states.

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 29: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that Covid-19 was confirmed in 2,397 persons in Kerala today. 2,137 people were infected through contact and the source in 197 cases were not traceable. 68 of those diagnosed today have come back from foreign countries and 126, from other states. 63 healthcare workers are also infected. The CM also added that there are more than 200 cases in four districts. At the same time, 2,225 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered today.
