Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja has informed that 3,349 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Kerala today even as 1,657 patients under treatment for the same have recovered. 3,058 people were infected through contact and the source of infection of 266 was unknown. 50 are returnees from foreign countries and 165 from other states. 72 healthcare workers were also infected with Coronavirus.

Kerala reports its highest single day count of 3,402 new cases today
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 09: 3,402 new active cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today according to the Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja. 3,120 were cases of local transmission and the source of infection of 235 was unknown. 46 cases were those who came back from foreign countries and 133, from other states. 88 healthcare workers were also infected At the same time, 2,058 patients under treatment for the same have recovered.

Meanwhile, 1,862 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered today.

Of those diagnosed today, 2,844 people were infected through contact and the source of infection of 189 was not traceable. 56 of them have come back from foreign countries and 132 from other states. 50 healthcare workers were also infected. Meanwhile, 2,196 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered.
