Thiruvananthapuram: Covid-19 was confirmed in 3,082 persons in Kerala today according to the Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja. This is the highest single-day count so far. Of those diagnosed today, 2,844 people were infected through contact and the source of infection of 189 was not traceable. 56 of them have come back from foreign countries and 132 from other states. 50 healthcare workers were also infected. Meanwhile, 2,196 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered.

Kerala performing well on Covid parameters: Chief Minister
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today announced that the State is doing well on all Covid parameters as decided by the WHO and ICMR despite the rising number of new active cases.

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 05: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that 2,655 new active cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today. Of these, 2,433 are locally transmitted cases and the contact source in 220 cases was unknown. 38 of them are returnees from foreign countries and 114 from other states. 61 healthcare workers were also among those infected. At the same time, 2,111 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered today.

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 04: Covid-19 was confirmed in 2,479 persons in Kerala today as per the Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja. 2,255 are cases of local transmission and the source of infection in 149 cases was not traceable. 59 of the cases detected today are in returnees from foreign countries and 71 are from other states. At the same time, 2,716 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered today.
