Thiruvananthapuram: Showcasing the cultural richness of the erstwhile Travancore kingdom that now lies in the southern part of the state, the Kerala Government is set to begin a Rs 100-crore Travancore Heritage Tourism Project (THTP) that envisages conservation of the region’s palaces, mansions and temples.

Kottoor Elephant Rehabilitation Centre being upgraded to international standards
Thiruvananthapuram: The Elephant Rehabilitation Centre at Kottoor in Thiruvananthapuram is set to become the largest care and cure centre for elephants in the world. The first phase of the internationally acclaimed Elephant Rehabilitation Centre will be commissioned in February 2021. The project is being implemented at a cost of Rs 108 crores with funding from KIIFB. The centre has facilities to accommodate 50 elephants including the existing 16 elephants.

The Craft Village has also launched various programmes to introduce the heritage products of Kerala in the global market so as to expand the market.
