Minister markets Kerala as destination for green businesses

Trivandrum: Minister for Industries & IT, Shri P K Kunhalikutty has said that businesses keen to drive their bottom lines and maintain green credentials will find Kerala the ideal destination to realise their plans. He was speaking at a business meet held in Chennai on August 13, 2012 in connection with the upcoming ‘Emerging Kerala 2012 Global Connect’ to be held in September at Kochi.

Nitta Gelatin shows impressive Q1 figures, retains growth

Trivandrum: Nitta Gelatin India Ltd. (NGIL), a joint venture between the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and Nitta Gelatin Incorporated, Japan, and  a leading player in the Gelatin industry, has reported a turnover of Rs.67 crores and a net profit of Rs.4.69 crores for the first quarter this fiscal. NGIL hopes to achieve a turnover of around Rs.300 crores during the current financial year. During 2011-12, NGIL had reported a turnover of Rs.240 crores and a net profit of Rs.5.08 crores, after tax.

Kerala steps up efforts to draw investment with Bangalore roadshow

Trivandrum: The Government of Kerala has signalled its willingness to go the extra mile to make the State a preferred investment destination through policy initiatives and ground-level support.
