Bangalore: Worldwide sales of smartphones to end users had a record fourth quarter of 2014 with an increase of 29.9 percent from the fourth quarter of 2013 to reach 367.5 million units, according to Gartner, Inc. In 2014, sales of smartphones to end users totalled 1.2 billion units, up 28.4 percent from 2013 and represented two-thirds of global mobile phone sales.

Bangalore: Worldwide sales of mobile phones to end users were flat in the third quarter of 2014, according to Gartner, Inc. However, sales of smartphones to end users grew 20.3 percent to reach 301 million units. Gartner expects sales of smartphones to reach 1.2 billion units in 2014.
