Kerala rolls out e-Services portal for G2C delivery

Trivandrum: The Kerala Government has launched an e-Services portal as the first phase of the State Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) Project, a core component in e-Governance infrastructure under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). The e-Services portal (www.eservices.kerala.gov.in) was inaugurated by the Minister for Industries & IT, Shri P K Kunhalikutty at a function held at the Institute of Management in Governance (IMG) in Thiruvananthapuram.

Passport Seva goes rural through Common Services Centres

New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs, along with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, which is promoted by the Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY), is all set to launch Passport related services through the vast network of over one lakh Common Services Centres (CSCs) across rural hinterland. The initiative would largely bridge the digital divide in the country.

Kerala 2014-15 Budget gives impetus for e-Governance projects

Trivandrum: Finance Minister Shri K M Mani’s record 12th Budget presented in the Niyamasabha provides a thrust to the various e-Governance projects in Kerala with an allocation of Rs.313 crores. In his budget speech, the Finance Minister said the government would take up projects to provide online services to all sections of the society including government officials, teachers, farmers, students, and workers.
