Thiruvananthapuram: 3.593 new active cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today even as 5,983 patients were cured of the disease. Of the cases detected, 3,070 persons were infected through contact and the source of infection for 409 was unknown. There were 53 health personnel among those infected. Meanwhile, 22 recent deaths were confirmed to be due to Covid taking the death toll to 1,714.

Thiruvananthapuram: 5,440 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Kerala today while 6,853 patients have recovered from the disease. Of those diagnosed, 4,699 were cases of local transmission and the contact source was not traceable in 585 cases. 51 medical personnel were among those infected. At the time, 24 deaths were confirmed as caused by Covid taking the death toll in the state to 1,692.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today announced that the government has surpassed the target of creating 50,000 jobs in 100 days. Briefing the media, Chief Minister said, “At the end of the two months period, 61,290 jobs have been created in the State. Today we are setting a new goal of creating another 50,000 jobs before the end of December. Thus the revised target is employment for one lakh people in four months (during the September to December).”
