Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today announced further relaxations in the lockdown regulations in the State while cautioning the public against a possible third wave of the Covid pandemic. The new relaxations would come into effect from Thursday, June 24.

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today informed that the spread of the Covid cases in Kerala has decreased by 42%. “There is a 15% decline in the test positivity rate as compared to last week. The average test positivity rate for the last three days is 11.5%. The number of new cases during June 11-13 has dropped by 4.2% over the previous three days. The number of active cases has decreased by 14.43% and the TPR also declined by 10.04% over this period.”

The government is planning a revised strategy for lockdown based on the declining TPR.

Making the announcement, Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said that the 100-day action plan will be implemented from June 11 to September 19.
