Thiruvananthapuram, April 13: Only three fresh cases of the Coronavirus infection were reported in Kerala today even as the results of 19 patients under treatment came as negative. Two of the new cases are from Kannur district and one from Palakkad district. While two are cases of local transmission, one has returned back from overseas.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 12: Kerala Minister of Health and Social Justice, Smt K K Shailaja Teacher today said, “It was a day of much relief and hope as 36 patients under treatment in the State have recovered from the Coronavirus infection and tested negative.” 28 patients from Kasargod district (including two who were undergoing treatment in Kannur district), six from Malappuram district, and one each from Kozhikode and Idukki districts are the patients whose test results came negative.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 11: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today disclosed that Kerala has asked for an extension of the lockdown period as the threat of Covid-19 continues and supported a gradual phasing down of the same after proper assessment. He placed this suggestion of the State during a meeting of the Prime Minister with the Chief Ministers today which was conducted through video-conferencing.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 11: Kerala today reported ten fresh cases of Coronavirus infection – seven from Kannur district, two from Kasargod district and one from Kozhikode district. Seven persons have got infected through primary (local) contact and rest three have returned from overseas.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 10: Minister of Health, Smt K K Shailaja Teacher today announced that three more hospitals in Kerala have received the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification. The new Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Kallikaddu, Thiruvananthapuram with 95% points, the Family Health Centre (FHC) at Kalladikode, Palakkad with 94% and the FHC at Nenmanikara, Thrissur with 93% are the three hospitals which got the NQAS recognition. With this achievement, the top 12 PHCs of the country are in Kerala.
