Six new cases & 21 recoveries, total 114 patients under treatment

Thiruvananthapuram, April 20: Briefing the media about the Covid-19 situation in the State, Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said, “Six new cases of Coronavirus infection were reported in the State today, all from Kannur district. Five of them have come from overseas and one has got the infection through local contact. Meanwhile, the test results of 21 patients under treatment have come negative. 19 from Kasargod district and two in Alappuzha are those who have recovered.”

13 recoveries & two new cases reported today, total 129 patients under treatment

Thiruvananthapuram, April 18: Minister of Health & Social Justice, Smt K K Shailaja Teacher today informed that 13 Covid-19 patients in Kerala have recovered today from the infection. Eight patients from Kasargod district, three in Kannur district, and one each from Malappuram and Thrissur districts are those who tested negative after treatment. With this, the number of recovered cases has gone up to 270. Currently, 129 patients are under treatment in various hospitals across the State.

Four new cases & two recoveries today, total 140 patients under treatment

Thiruvananthapuram, April 18: Four new cases of the Coronavirus infection were confirmed in Kerala today. Three cases are from Kannur district and one from Kozhikode district. Three of them (two from Kannur district and one from Kozhikode district) had returned from Dubai and one (from Kannur district) is a case of local transmission. This takes the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Kerala to 399.

Kerala plans phased relaxation of lockdown in consonance with Central guidelines

Thiruvananthapuram, April 16: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today presented a plan for a phased relaxation of lockdown in the State, in consonance with the Central guidelines. “The State Government will abide by the general guidelines announced by the Central Government while extending the lockdown till May 03. We would request approval from Centre for grouping of districts based on the number of active/positive cases and allowing certain exemptions in these places. However, all common restrictions applicable to pan India will continue in Kerala”, he said.
