Kerala to ensure basic amenities for drivers in hotels & resorts

Trivandrum: In a labour-friendly initiative in the tourism sector, necessary steps will be taken to ensure basic amenities for drivers in hotels, resorts and homestays, Tourism Minister, Shri P A Mohamed Riyas said today. Speaking at a meeting of taxi and autorickshaw unions and travel and tour operators’ associations here, he said hotels, resorts and homestays must ensure that basic facilities are provided to drivers coming with guests.

159.69 lakh domestic tourists in Kerala during Jan-Sep 2023

Trivandrum: The state attracted 159.69 lakh visitors from within the country during the first nine months of 2023, as compared to 133.81 lakh during the corresponding period last year, registering an impressive growth of 19.34 per cent, Tourism Minister, Shri P A Mohamed Riyas said today. The Minister was addressing a press conference regarding the forthcoming Tourism Investors Meet (TIM).
