Kochi: The seventh edition of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM), the largest buyer-seller meet in tourism sector, will be held in Kochi from September 27 to 30, 2012. Around 500 foreign delegates from 48 countries and 1,700 domestic delegates are expected to participate in Kerala Travel Mart 2012. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy.

Kochi: US based Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that Hyatt affiliates signed management agreements for a Grand Hyatt hotel in Kochi, bringing the total number of announced Hyatt-branded hotels under development in India to 56. Grand Hyatt Kochi, will be located on Bolgatty Island in Kochi and is expected to open in 2017 first quarter.

Trivandrum: Bekal and its famed 17th century fort are ready to emerge from the periphery of Kerala’s tourism map to take the centre stage as infrastructure projects worth crores of rupees designed to make it India’s first sustainable and planned beach destination get off the ground. Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy will inaugurate an intensive ‘Know Bekal’ promotional campaign on May 10 in Bekal to showcase this pristine destination and its many attractions, both nationally and internationally.

Kochi: The Noida based Vasu Coco Resorts will be soon opening four new projects in Kerala. Vasundhara Sarovar Premiere, the company’s first property at Vayalar in Alappuzha District is managed by Sarovar Hotels and Resorts. The luxury resort is spread over 7 acres on the banks of Vembanad Lake and built with an investment of Rs.70 crore.
