Trivandrum: The sixth edition of the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF), a Government of Kerala initiative, has rolled off to a start with the launch of a new logo for the festival, at Thiruvananthapuram. GKSF Season 6 starts on December 15, 2012 and will conclude on January 31, 2013. Free registration for merchant establishments in the general category and a Global Village mega trade show in Kochi will be the highlights of this season.

Nilgiris Supermarkets on an expansion mode in Kerala
Trivandrum: The Chennai based supermarket chain, Nilgiris, is making slow inroads in Kerala and is setting up their stores across the State. The supermarket chain today opened their seventh store in Kerala, its fifth in Thiruvananthapuram. The new supermarket was inaugurated by Adv. K Chandrika, Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram. The other two stores are in Kochi.
