Kerala to encourage concept of green buildings with incentives

Trivandrum: The Kerala Government would encourage the concept of Green Buildings and that it can consider giving incentives to such buildings. This was announced by the Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy after inaugurating the awareness programme on Concept of Green Buildings here jointly organized by Government of Kerala, Industries Department, KINFRA, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

Leighton Welspun bags Tata Realty’s Rs 286 crore Kochi project

Kochi: Leighton Welspun Contractors, part of the Australia based Leighton Holdings Group, has been awarded a project worth Rs.286 crore by Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd. (TRIL) under the alliance model to develop five new residential towers in Kochi. The work on the Tritvam residential project, which will come up at Marine Drive, will commence soon and is expected to be complete by 2015.
