Trivandrum: Kerala will get a special railway corridor along its 532-km length by 2024, as the State government is set to build a Rs 66,079-crore rail line that will enable semi-high speed trains ply between upstate Kasaragod and the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram.

Thiruvananthapuram Railway Division conducts food safety seminar
Trivandrum: A food safety seminar was conducted by Thiruvananthapuram Railway Division at the Railway Divisional Office involving food regulators and food business operators. Senior officers of Commercial and Health department of Southern Railway and Food Safety Department of Government of Kerala along with 25 catering licensees of Railways attended the seminar.

Trivandrum: The results of a survey conducted by research organisation, C fore show that there is huge public support for the proposed high speed rail project cutting across cast, community and class lines. The 430 km high speed railway line (HSR) is proposed to be built between Kochuveli in Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur.
