Kerala reports 2,397 new cases & 2,225 recoveries

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 29: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that Covid-19 was confirmed in 2,397 persons in Kerala today. 2,137 people were infected through contact and the source in 197 cases were not traceable. 68 of those diagnosed today have come back from foreign countries and 126, from other states. 63 healthcare workers are also infected. The CM also added that there are more than 200 cases in four districts. At the same time, 2,225 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered today.

Kerala Police to devise innovative methods for Covid prevention: CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 12: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today announced that innovative methods for the prevention of Covid are being devised under the leadership of the District Police Chiefs. The defence measures prepared by the Police Chiefs in different districts will be shared mutually and will be implemented after making necessary changes for adaption.

Kerala CM announces Rs. 10 lakhs solatium for plane crash victims, free treatment for injured

Kozhikode: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has announced a compensation of Rs.10 lakhs to the next of kin of each passenger who died in the Air India Express crash that took place at the Karipur International Airport here yesterday. He was briefing the media after visiting the crash site at the airport and the injured at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
