Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 04: 3,021 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Kerala today along with 5.145 patient recoveries. 2,643 were cases of local transmission and the contact source for infection was not traceable in 284 cases. There are 42 healthcare workers among those infected. Meanwhile, 19 recent deaths were confirmed today as due to Covid and the related death toll in the state is now 3,160.

Thiruvananthapuram: Covid-19 was detected in 4,600 persons in Kerala today. 4,039 people including 49 healthcare workers were infected through contact and the contact source of infection was unknown for 451. At the same time, 4,668 patients have recovered from the disease today. Meanwhile, 25 deaths in the last few days were confirmed today as due to Covid taking the death toll in the state to 3,141.
