Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala today reported 26,995 new cases of Covid-19, the highest so far on a single day since the outbreak of the pandemic last year. Briefing the media, Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said, “1,37,177 samples were tested during the last 24 hours and presently there are 1,56 226 patients under treatment. 28 deaths were also confirmed as due to Covid. Each day, the number of infected people is increasing drastically.”

Thiruvananthapuram: 5,142 new cases of Covid-19 cases were reported in Kerala today even as 5,325 patients have recovered from the disease. 4,563 persons including 67 healthcare workers were infected through local transmission and the contact source of infection was unknown for 424.
