Thiruvananthapuram, April 17: In a day that brings much relief to Kerala, just one new Covid-19 case was reported in the State today, from Kozhikode district in a person who got the infection through local transmission.

Kerala plans phased relaxation of lockdown in consonance with Central guidelines
Thiruvananthapuram, April 16: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today presented a plan for a phased relaxation of lockdown in the State, in consonance with the Central guidelines. “The State Government will abide by the general guidelines announced by the Central Government while extending the lockdown till May 03. We would request approval from Centre for grouping of districts based on the number of active/positive cases and allowing certain exemptions in these places. However, all common restrictions applicable to pan India will continue in Kerala”, he said.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 16: Seven new Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Kerala today – four persons from Kannur district, two in Kozhikode district and one in Kasargod district. Among the new cases, five are people who have returned from abroad and two are cases of local transmission.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 15: Briefing the media about the Covid-19 situation in the State, Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said, “Just one fresh case of the Coronavirus infection was reported in Kerala today while the test results of seven patients under treatment came as negative.” The lone case from Kannur district has got the infection through primary contact. Four patients from Kasargod district, two from Kozhikode district and one from Kollam district are those who have recovered from Covid-19 and tested negative.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 14: Kerala today reported eight new cases of the Coronavirus infection – four from Kannur district, three from Kozhikode district and one from Kasargod district. Among the new patients, five have come from Dubai and the rest have got the infection through local contact.
