Thiruvananthapuram, April 21: Kerala today saw a spike in the number of Coronavirus cases being reported with 19 new cases being confirmed today. Ten of the new cases are from Kannur district, four in Palakkad district, three from Kasargod district, and one each in Malappuram and Kollam districts. Of these, 13 persons have returned from abroad, three from Tamil Nadu and one from Uttar Pradesh. The rest two are cases of local transmission.

Kerala CM applauds Kerala’s efforts for containing Covid outbreak
Thiruvananthapuram, April 20: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today applauded the efforts of the people in the State in containing the outbreak of the pandemic. “Medical professional, Health care workers, Government officials, sanitation workers, and the general public, in fact, everyone worked together to achieve the single goal of restricting the spread of the Coronavirus in the State. They deserve to be appreciated. But at the same time, we cannot afford to take a break. Any carelessness on our part might make the situation disastrous and beyond control.”

Thiruvananthapuram, April 20: Briefing the media about the Covid-19 situation in the State, Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said, “Six new cases of Coronavirus infection were reported in the State today, all from Kannur district. Five of them have come from overseas and one has got the infection through local contact. Meanwhile, the test results of 21 patients under treatment have come negative. 19 from Kasargod district and two in Alappuzha are those who have recovered.”

Thiruvananthapuram, April 18: Minister of Health & Social Justice, Smt K K Shailaja Teacher today informed that 13 Covid-19 patients in Kerala have recovered today from the infection. Eight patients from Kasargod district, three in Kannur district, and one each from Malappuram and Thrissur districts are those who tested negative after treatment. With this, the number of recovered cases has gone up to 270. Currently, 129 patients are under treatment in various hospitals across the State.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 18: Four new cases of the Coronavirus infection were confirmed in Kerala today. Three cases are from Kannur district and one from Kozhikode district. Three of them (two from Kannur district and one from Kozhikode district) had returned from Dubai and one (from Kannur district) is a case of local transmission. This takes the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Kerala to 399.
