All-party meeting unanimously against lockdown in the State

Thiruvananthapuram: The all-party meeting held today was unanimous against imposing a full lockdown in Kerala. Private hospitals in Kerala to work closely with government to combat Covid

Thiruvananthapuram: 26,685 persons were detected with Covid-19 in Kerala today from 1,31,155 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. 25 deaths were also confirmed and at present, there are a total of 1,98,576 patients under treatment for the disease. This was informed by the Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today. He also informed that private hospitals in the State have expressed their full support and cooperation to the government in its fight against the pandemic and the treatment of Covid patients.

28,447 Covid cases today; would need Rs.1,300 crores to buy vaccine: CM

Thiruvananthapuram: 28,447 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today, the single-day highest ever. “The Covid spread in the State is severe. 1,30,617 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours and the test positivity rate is 21.78%. At present, there are 1,78,983 patients under treatment. 27 deaths were also reported. A serious situation is developing in the State and strict restrictions will have to be imposed”, said the Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan while briefing the media.
