Thiruvananthapuram, July 11: Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today asked the people to carry forward the ‘Break the Chain’ campaign more vigorously as the number of cases through contact is increasing in the State.

488 new cases & 143 recoveries today, total 3,442 patients
Thiruvananthapuram, July 11: 488 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today while 143 patients have recovered. Sharing the details, Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said that 234 were cases of infection through contact as 167 were in those who came back from overseas and 76 from other states.

Thiruvananthapuram, July 10: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan announced that both Covid testing and facilities to treat Covid patients would be ramped up in the State in view of the rising number of cases in the past few weeks. The CM also mentioned that there has been a drastic increase in the rate of spread in contact cases, from 6.1% on June 30 to 20.64% on July 09.

Thiruvananthapuram, July 10: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan informed that 416 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today even as 112 patients under treatment have recovered from the same. 204 are cases of local transmission while 123 are those who came back from foreign countries and 51 from other states.

Thiruvananthapuram, July 09: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today cautioned the people of the State to be alert against a possible community spread. Addressing the media, the Chief Minister said, “We are facing the most critical stage of Covid outbreak now. This is a time for concern as we may be near the cusp of a community spread in the State.”
