Thiruvananthapuram, July 20: 794 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today even as 245 patients under treatment have recovered. Minister for Health & Social Justice, Smt K K Shailaja has informed that 519 people were infected through contact and there are 24 cases with no known source of contact. Of those diagnosed today, 148 came back from overseas and 105 from other states.

Thiruvananthapuram, July 19: Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja informed that 821 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today, the highest single-day count so far. Of the cases detected today, 629 are cases of infection through contact and the source of infection of 43 cases is unknown. 110 are returnees from foreign countries and 69 have come back from other states.

Giving details, Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said, “The total number of confirmed cases in the State is now 11,659. Of the cases detected today, 364 are contact cases, 116 are those who came back from overseas and 90 from other states. 19 healthcare workers, one personnel each of DSC and Fire Force was also infected.
