Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 05: Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today announced a financial assistance package for Pravasi Malayalees (Non-Resident Keralites) who could not go back to their place of work abroad and are stranded in the State since the lockdown.

1,195 new cases & 1,234 recoveries today, total 11,492 patients under treatment
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 05: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that 1,195 new active cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today even as 1,234 patients under treatment have recovered. 971 are cases of local transmission with the source unknown in 79. There are 66 cases among those who arrived from foreign countries and 125 from other states. The CM also offered his condolences on the seven Covid related deaths reported in the State.

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 04: Covid-19 was detected in 1,083 persons in Kerala today even as 1,021 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered. According to the Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja, 902 people were infected through contact and source of infection in 71 cases is unknown. 51 of the new cases are those who arrived from abroad and 64 are from other states.

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 03: Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that 962 new active cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the State today even as 815 patients have recovered from the disease. There are 801 cases of infection through contact and the source in 40 cases is unknown. 55 are returnees from abroad and 85 from other States. 15 healthcare workers were also infected.
