Thiruvananthapuram: Minister of Health, Smt K K Shailaja has informed that Covid-19 was confirmed in 1,530 persons in Kerala today while 1,693 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered and were discharged from the hospitals. Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries has crossed the 50,000 mark as 51,542 people have so far been cured of Covid in the State.

Kerala reports 2,154 new cases & 1,766 recoveries today
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 30: 2,154 new active cases of Covid-19 were detected in Kerala while 1,766 patients have recovered today as per the Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja. Of those diagnosed today, 1,962 were cases of local transmission and the source of infection in 174 cases were unknown. 49 are returnees from overseas and 110 from other states.

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister of Health, Smt K K Shailaja has informed that Covid-19 was confirmed in 2,476 people in Kerala today. 2,243 people were infected through contact and the source of infection of 175 was not traceable. 64 of the confirmed cases are those who arrived from foreign countries and 99, from other states. 69 healthcare workers were also infected by Coronavirus. Meanwhile, 1,351 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered and were discharged from hospitals today.
