Kerala reports 4,351 new Covid cases & 2,737 recoveries, both single day highs

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that 4,351 new active Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Kerala today. 4,081 were contact cases and the source of infection of 351 was unknown. Of those diagnosed today, 57 have come back from foreign countries and 141 from other states. 72 healthcare workers were infected through contact. 10 deaths were also reported. At the same time, 2,737 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered today.

Kerala reports 3,830 new cases today, the highest single day count

Thiruvananthapuram: 3,830 new active cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today, the highest single-day count so far. 3,562 are cases of local transmission and the contact source of 350 was not traceable. Of those diagnosed today, 49 are returnees from overseas and 153 from other states. 66 healthcare workers were also infected through contact. At the same time, 2,263 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered today.

3,215 new cases & 2,532 recoveries today, total recoveries cross 80K

Thiruvananthapuram: Covid-19 was confirmed in 3,215 persons in Kerala today while 2,532 patients have recovered from the disease as per the Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan. 3,013 people were infected through contact and the source of infection of 313 was unknown. 43 of those diagnosed today have come back from foreign countries and 70 from other states. 89 healthcare workers were also infected by Coronavirus.

Kerala to conduct genetic study of Covid patients: CM

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today announced a state-wide genetic study on Covid patients. Briefing the media, the Chief Minister said, “A genetic study of patients infected by the Coronavirus was conducted in the northern districts of the State in collaboration with the Institute of Genomics and Integrated Biology under CSIR. This will be extended across the State.”

2,540 new Covid cases & 2,110 recoveries today in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that 2,540 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today while 2,110 patients under treatment have recovered from the disease. 2,346 persons were infected through contact and the source of infection of 212 was unknown. 34 of those diagnosed have returned from foreign countries and 73 from other states. 64 healthcare workers were also infected.
