Thiruvananthapuram: 5,420 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Kerala today. 4,693 were cases of local transmission and the source of infection was not traceable for 592. There were 52 medical/para-medics among those infected. At the same time, 5,149 patients have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 24 recent deaths were confirmed as due to Covid taking the related death toll in the State to 2,095.
