Trivandrum: The Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CEPCI) has submitted to the Central Government a five-point remedial plan to reverse the alarming downward trend in cashew exports and help revive a once prosperous industry that provided employment to one million rural workers, mainly women.

Rubber Board to use WhatsApp to identify rubber pests and diseases
Kottayam: The city based Rubber Board under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has introduced WhatsApp facility for rubber growers to seek scientific advice in identifying pests and diseases in their holdings. The facility was inaugurated by the A Ajith Kumar IAS, Chairman of Rubber Board in a function at Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII).
