Thiruvananthapuram: Covid-19 was confirmed in 8,553 persons Kerala today as per the Minister for Health, Smt K K Shailaja. 7,527 people were infected through contact and the source of infection was not traceable in 716 cases. 99 healthcare workers were among those infected. 30 of those detected with the disease have arrived from foreign countries and 181, from other states. At the same time, 4,851patients under treatment have recovered from Coronavirus infection today. This is the highest number of recoveries to be reported on any single day.

Chief Minister dedicates 90 schools as Centres of Excellence
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today dedicated 90 schools as Centres of Excellence as part of a drive to protect the public education system in the State. He also laid the foundation stone of 54 school buildings to be constructed as part of this campaign.

Thiruvananthapuram: 7,834 new active cases of Covid-19 were reported in Kerala today while 4,476 patients under treatment have recovered. This is the highest single-day recoveries so far. Of those diagnosed today, 6,850 are cases of local transmission and the contact source for 648 was unknown. 49 are returnees from foreign countries and 187, from other states. 95 healthcare workers were also infected.

Thiruvananthapuram: Covid-19 was confirmed in 9,258 people in Kerala today as per the Minister of Health, Smt K K Shailaja. 8,274 persons were infected through contact and the source of infection of 657 was not traceable. Of those diagnosed today, 47 have returned from overseas and 184, from other states. 93 healthcare workers were among those infected. At the same time, 4,092 patients under treatment have recovered from Coronavirus today. Both the new cases and recovery figures are single-day highest to be reported.
