At the same time, 5,258 patients have recovered from the disease today. 29 deaths in the last few days were confirmed today as due to Covid and the related death toll in the State is now 2,623.

Thiruvananthapuram: 5,949 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Kerala today along with 5,268 patient recoveries. 5,173were cases of local transmission and the source of infection was not traceable for 646 cases. There were 47 medical or para-medical personnel among those infected today. In the meantime, 32 recent deaths were confirmed as caused by Covid taking the death toll in the state to 2,594.
