Thiruvananthapuram: 28,447 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala today, the single-day highest ever. “The Covid spread in the State is severe. 1,30,617 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours and the test positivity rate is 21.78%. At present, there are 1,78,983 patients under treatment. 27 deaths were also reported. A serious situation is developing in the State and strict restrictions will have to be imposed”, said the Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan while briefing the media.

Kerala reports 26,995 new Covid cases, initiates step to directly procure vaccine
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala today reported 26,995 new cases of Covid-19, the highest so far on a single day since the outbreak of the pandemic last year. Briefing the media, Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said, “1,37,177 samples were tested during the last 24 hours and presently there are 1,56 226 patients under treatment. 28 deaths were also confirmed as due to Covid. Each day, the number of infected people is increasing drastically.”

The park is coming up on of land acquired by the state government from FACT, a central public sector undertaking. The Petrochemical Park is being set up under the Industries Department in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
