Trivandrum: The Chennai based KGS Group is ready to start the work on their Rs.2,000 crore proposed International Airport at Arnamula in Pathanamthitta District, in January, 2013. The Greenfield airport will be India’s first international airport to be started in the private sector. The company hopes to start the flight operations from the new airport in December, 2014.

Trivandrum: The Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KELTRON) has received an order worth Rs.5 crores for the production of Towed Sonar Receiver Arrays designed specifically by the Defence R & D Organisation (DRDO). The Array system will be manufactured at the exclusive towed array assembly and testing facility at the Aroor unit of Keltron near Kochi.

Kochi: Marriott International Inc. has opened its first property in Kerala. The premier four-star hotel from the Marriott India Cluster, Courtyard by Marriott, near the Kochi International Airport at Nedumbassery, was recently inaugurated by the Minister for Excise and Ports, Shri K Babu. The project has been promoted and developed by the UAE based Lulu Group International.
