Trivandrum: In a major fillip to pilgrim tourism, Kerala has secured the Centre’s approval for a Rs 91.72 crores proposal to improve tourist amenities in 147 pilgrim centres of different faiths across the State. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has endorsed the proposal submitted by the State government in this regard, as part of the Tourism Infrastructure Development plan.

Trivandrum: Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, and NORKA Roots, a public sector undertaking under the Department of Non Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA), Government of Kerala, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding by which Oman Air will offer a discount on airfare to NORKA Roots Identity Card holders. The MoU was handed over to Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan.

Trivandrum: Kerala Tourism Minister, Shri Kadakampally Surendran today launched the work on India’s first public sector hotel run entirely by women for women in the State capital. A flagship project of the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC), the hotel named ‘Hostess’ will come up at the KTDFC complex at the main bus station in the heart of the city, adjacent to the Central Railway Station.
