It was decided to give a Chief Minister’s certificate of appreciation to all the members of the Covid Brigade.

Police to assist healthcare workers

The Chief Minister today clarified that the additional work given to the Police personnel to mark containment zones and for contact tracing was only to help and support the healthcare workers in their fight against Covid.

“Healthcare workers, Police and representatives from LSG bodies are involved in Covid preventive activities. There is a possibility of fatigue due to their constant workload. Moreover, they are now involved in CFLTCs, mobile health units, etc. They need all our support, help and assistance. Contact tracing is more elaborate now since people travel a lot and the Police can use scientific methods to do this. Their investigation techniques will help us in faster contact tracing. So there is no need for any misunderstanding. We have a serious task at hand and this is to strengthen our preventive measures”, he said.
