Trivandrum: Vivanta by Taj, Trivandrum is hosting a ten days Kebab, Grill & Biryani festival at their fine dining restaurant, the Fifth Element. The dinner-only food fest features a delectable selection of traditional recipes of royal kitchens – kebabs, grills and biryani from the different cuisines across India.
Interacting with Kerala Biz News, James Kashyap, F&B Manager at Vivanta by Taj, Trivandrum said, “This is one of the major events in our promotion calendar and this time we are introducing a new concept for the first time in our hotel here. There are four experience cards on the table – the first card lets you feast on Kebabs like a Nawab, the second gives you the taste of live grill, the third opens up the world of Biryanis from the royal kitchens and the last card unlocks the key to the imperial desserts – a perfect four-course dinner. I am sure our customers would like this new concept as it gives them more control over the timing of their order which improves the overall dining experience.”
Jose Thomas, Executive Chef said, “We are offering the selection of Kebab, Grills and Biryani as a set menu along with the dinner buffet so that customers have more choice for dining. The menu offers one veg and two non-veg kebabs, grill, veg or non-veg biryani and desserts. The menu structure is same but the menu will change every day. As the diner gives the card, we prepare the kebab or grill fresh so that they get the ambience of a live grill. We promise a great dining experience with value for money.”
The opening night menu had Paneer tikka, Murg tikka mirza hasnoo and Mughlai khaas sheek kebabs; and roasted cumin and cilantro marinated grilled fish with roast potatoes and tossed Brussel sprouts. Apart from the veg biryani, there was a choice of Hyderabadi gosht biryani or Awadhi murgh biryani. Jaam-e-gul and thick Gulab pista phirna with cut fruits made up the dessert.
The Kebab, Biryani & Grills fest concludes on November 26, 2017.
