Kochi to host International Conference on Health Tourism


Kochi: In an effort to create awareness and get the stakeholders together to promote Kerala as a preferred destination for health tourism, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with the support of Government of Kerala is organizing the Kerala Health Tourism 2013 from October 31 to November 02, 2013 at Kochi.

This is the fourth edition of Kerala Health Tourism (KHT) which was first held in 2006, with subsequent editions in 2007 and 2011.

The KHT 2013 would highlight the emerging trends, opportunities and challenges in the Indian Health Tourism arena, discuss preparedness of Indian hospitals etc and will be a congregation of major hospitals, health insurance companies, policy makers, tourism promotion boards, health travel and tourism operators and international institutions for promotion of health tourism.

International Insurance Companies, Third Party Administrators, Airlines, Embassies and Trade Offices, leading Hospitals, Hotels and Resorts, Spas and Health Travel & Tour Operators are expected to participate in the exhibition at the Kerala Health Tourism event.

Coinciding with the Kerala Health Tourism Exhibition, CII is introducing a focused exhibition on medical equipments namely MediEquip 2013 to showcase Hospital needs and Medical Equipment companies.

MediEquip 2013 will be organized in parallel with the Kerala Health Tourism event, at the same venue. This would be an excellent opportunity for the companies dealing with Medical Equipments and Hospital Needs to showcase their products and services directly to the target audience. CII is expecting to have more than 400 delegates for the Conference (national & international) and above 2,000 visitors for the exhibition. The exhibition will be open to public on November 01 & 02.
