Kochi International Fashion Week Bridal Edition takes off


Kochi: As the season rings in wedding celebrations across the country, the third season of the Kingfisher Ultra Kochi International Fashion Week – Bridal Edition took off today at the Casino Hotel in Kochi. The four day fashion extravaganza, touted as Kerala’s biggest fashion event will see over nine designers participating, including leading Indian designers like Riyaz Gangji, Hari Anand, Shravan Kumar, Verma D’ Mello, Jattinn Kochhar amongst others.

Kochi’s very own Supermodel, Sherin Sam showcased host designer Hari Anand’s bridal line. Hari, one of the leading fashion designers from Kerala and his current collection for the Bridal edition of the Kingfisher Ultra Kochi International Fashion is called ‘The Secret Garden’ which portrays the story of a romantic bride who loves nature, lush flowers and serenity. The embroideries are intricately embellished with Swarovski crystals. Floral designs are cleverly added to the embroidery to highlight the concept. Roses made of ribbons paired with very subtle hues, give the collection a very dreamy feel and mood.

A delighted Hari Anand said, “Kingfisher Ultra Kochi International Fashion Week is the best fashion platform in the city and it’s an overwhelming experience to be associated with this property as the host designer!! My latest collection presents a romantic story reflected in the intricate detailing of cuts, hues and embellishments. The response to the preview has been very encouraging and I now look forward to presenting the whole collection!”
