Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), known by its brand Milma, has clocked a higher turnover of Rs. 2,559.71 crores in the first half of the financial year 2026-27 in the sale of liquid milk and other products, marking a growth of 15.09 per cent from the corresponding period in the previous year. Milma’s total turnover in the first half of the 2025-26 period was Rs. 2,224.12 crores.
The three regional unions of Milma netted a total turnover of Rs. 2,328.87 crore, while products from facilities under KCMMF marked a turnover of Rs. 230.84 crore.
Total turnover of Trivandrum Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union (TRCMPU) increased to Rs. 746.21 crores from Rs. 635.89 crores (17.35 per cent increase) in the corresponding period of the last fiscal. Ernakulam Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union (ERCMPU) posted a higher turnover of Rs. 571.04 crores as against Rs. 515.79 crores (increase of 10.71 per cent) in the corresponding period of the previous year. Malabar Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union (MRCMPU) meanwhile netted an increased turnover of Rs. 1,011.62 crore as against Rs. 855.24 crores (18.28 per cent increase) in the same period last year.
In the sale of milk, TRCMPU’s turnover rose to Rs. 589.8 crores (13.86 per cent increase), while ERCMPU registered Rs. 444.64 crores (increase of 6.32 per cent) turnover and MRCMPU rose to Rs. 712.22 crores (15.50 per cent increase).
In the sale of products other than liquid milk, TRCMPU netted a turnover of Rs. 156.41 crores from Rs. 117.87 crores in the corresponding period the previous year. The ERCMPU clocked a turnover of Rs. 126.4 crores from Rs. 97.58 crores and MRCMPU netted Rs. 299.4 crores against Rs. 238.6 crores in this category during the period last year.
Milma Chairman, K S Mani, said this impressive performance reinforced Milma’s firm position as the market leader and the high consumer confidence it enjoys on account of the unassailable quality of its products. The higher turnover also means higher procurement of milk from dairy farmers affiliated to Milma’s cooperative network, who have benefited from the measures taken by the Milma federation and the regional unions to scale up production and productivity without compromising on the welfare of the farmers.
