Trivandrum: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with KSIDC, organized the ‘She Leads Business Conclave’ on 25 October 2024 at Thiruvananthapuram. The conclave brought together aspiring and established women entrepreneurs, thought leaders and industry experts to cultivate a supportive ecosystem, exchange insights, and address challenges faced by women in business.
In his inaugural address, Shri P Rajeeve, Minister for Industries, Government of Kerala highlighted the rise of women-led businesses in Kerala, with around 4 lakh MSMEs now managed by women. He recognized the accomplishments of Pamela Anna Mathew, who became the first woman entrepreneur to receive the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award for the best Entrepreneurs, and noted that 85% of Kerala’s responsible tourism projects are led by women. He also announced that insights from the conclave will guide plans to attract and support more women entrepreneurs through initiatives by KSIDC and KINFRA.
