Trivandrum: Indigo has announced a new flight service from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to Durgapur in West Bengal from March 27. The daily service will have a stop at Bangalore.
According to a press release from Adani Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd. (TIAL), the new flight service will provide connectivity between north-eastern states from South Kerala and South Tamil N?du. As per Govt. of Kerala statistics, over 30 lakh people from other states are working in Kerala. The majority of them are from Bengal and its neighbouring states.
The flight will depart for Durgapur via Bangalore with the same flight number. The passengers would not need to transfer to another aircraft. The flight is now open for bookings. The new flight TRV-RDP 6E 6501 will depart Trivandrum at 07:40 hrs to reach Durgapur at 12:05 hrs. For the return flight, RDP-TRV 6E 6502 will depart Durgapur at 12:40 hrs to reach Thiruvananthapuram by 17:15 hrs.
It may be noted that the number of weekly services from Thiruvananthapuram international airport has recently increased to 79. More flights are expected in the upcoming summer schedule.
