Fly91 Airlines commences Kochi–Lakshadweep service

Nedumbassery: Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL) today added a new airline to its network with regional carrier Fly91 commencing Kochi–Lakshadweep operations from the airport, further strengthening air connectivity between the mainland and the island territory.

The new Fly91 service will operate on all days. The additional service further enhances Cochin International Airport’s role as the primary aviation gateway to Lakshadweep, improving accessibility for island residents and tourists. IndiGo and Alliance Air already operate daily services on the Kochi–Lakshadweep sector.

The service was inaugurated by Manu G, Airport Director, CIAL, in the presence of Gautam Salaskar, Director – Ground Operations & Head, In-Flight Services, Fly91, Anup Vettiamkunnath, Head – Airport Services, Fly91, and Jerin C Joy, Station Manager, Fly91. Senior officers from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with officials of CIAL, were also present. As part of the launch, the first passengers of the Kochi–Lakshadweep service were formally welcomed at the check-in area of the terminal.
