Business leaders celebrate Entrepreneurship & explore AI

Trivandrum: The Indo Continental Trade & Entrepreneurship Promotion Council (ICTEP Council) hosted the second successful edition of the Tusker Business Summit and Entrepreneurship & Professional Leadership Awards on May 17 in Thiruvananthapuram. The event focused on celebrating entrepreneurial achievements and fostering critical discussions on the future of business.

Shri G R Anil, Minister for Food & Civil Supplies, led the summit’s inauguration. Earlier, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MP, delivered the keynote address, sharing his perspectives on the current business landscape. The Minister also distributed the Tusker Business Leadership awards.

With the support of key industry bodies including the Trivandrum Management Association (TMA), Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (KBIP), KSIDC, KINFRA, and the Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce & Industry, a central highlight of the summit was the high-level panel discussion on the timely and relevant theme: “Business Leadership in the AI Era.”

The insightful panel was expertly moderated by journalist, Joe A Scaria and featured the expertise of: Sujeeth Ravindran, CTO, iD Fresh Food, Mumbai; Brand Swamy, Transformation Consultant, Calicut; Sobhana Jaya Madhavan, President, BC-India Business Network, Canada; and Dr. Sujiv Nair, Global CHRO, Re Sustainability Ltd, Hyderabad.

K Ravindran, Director, ICTEP Council, highlighted the national reach of the event, stating, “The significant participation from states such as Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Bihar demonstrates the growing national importance of this summit.”

Dr. T Vinay Kumar, Chairman, ICTEP Council, emphasised the summit’s role in fostering progress, noting, “The Tusker Business Summit serves as a vital platform for the exchange of ideas, the stimulation of innovation, and the development of crucial collaborations within India’s entrepreneurial community.”

U S Kutty, Secretary General, ICTEP Council, shared the council’s plans, including the organisation of similar summits and training initiatives across Kerala and other parts of India.

The summit successfully convened a diverse and influential audience of CEOs, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, professionals, and policymakers, providing a valuable opportunity to engage with the thought leaders shaping the future of Indian business in the age of artificial intelligence.
