India Rubber Meet 2024 gets off to a start

Kottayam: Anshuman Singhania, Chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ATMA) and also, Managing Director of JK Tyres & Industries inaugurated the seventh edition of India Rubber Meet, IRM 2024 at Guwahati, Assam, today.

The Meet is a major initiative of the Indian rubber industry to organise a regular forum for interaction, networking and exchange of information. Dr Sawar Dhanania, Chairman of the Rubber Board delivered the theme address. M Vasanthagesan IRS, Executive Director of Rubber Board and Chairman of the Organising Committee IRM 2024 welcomed the gathering and Vinod T Simon, Vice-Chairman of the Organising Committee proposed a vote of thanks.

The theme of India Rubber Meet 2024 is ‘Natural Rubber- Changing Landscape, Emerging Trends and Insights for Tomorrow’. The two-day meet will deliberate upon the global outlook on the commodity sector, challenges and opportunities in the NR sector, sustainability in the supply chain of natural rubber, perspectives of tyre and non-tyre industry, latest trends in the mobility sector, commodity prices, emerging trends in synthetic rubber etc. The meeting will conclude on 24 February 2024. Around 500 delegates from India and abroad are attending the meet.

A national-level Organizing Committee is constituted under the chairmanship of the Executive Director, Rubber Board, with the representation of all segments of the rubber industry to formulate and organize the event. The committee includes representatives of small and large rubber growers, rubber processors and traders, tyre and non-tyre sectors, auto component manufacturers, rubber product exporters, synthetic rubber and reclaimed rubber manufacturers, rubber research and skill development institutions, media dealing with rubber, etc.
