Kerala permits in-house dining with 50% occupancy for fully vaccinated

Trivandrum: The Kerala government has announced further relaxation of the lockdown restrictions. Briefing the media after the weekly review of the Covid situation, Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said, “Hotels, restaurants and bars can open in-house dining with 50% occupancy for those who have taken both doses of the Covid vaccine.”

Those working in these places should also have received two doses of vaccination. Those under 18 years of age are exempted from the vaccination requirement. Only 50% of the seating capacity will be allowed. Windows and doors should be kept as open as possible without the use of AC.

The Chief Minister also announced the opening of indoor stadiums and swimming pools for those fully vaccinated with workers who have received two doses of vaccination. The vaccination requirement does not apply to those under 18 years of age. All operations must comply with the Covid protocol.
