McDonald’s expands its footprint in Kerala with first outlet in Trivandrum


Trivandrum: Hardcastle Restaurants, master franchise of McDonald’s in West and South India today announced the launch of the first McDonald’s in the capital city, the eighth in Kerala. Spread over 2,680 sq. ft., the restaurant is located at the Mall of Travancore.

McDonald’s offers burgers, wraps, fries and nuggets; a wide range of hot and cold beverages from McCafé, the in-house coffee chain; and desserts. The restaurant will also offer an array of food items ranging from its McAloo Tikki Burger to Chicken McSpicy Burger, Chatpata Naan and recently introduced Rice Bowls. The restaurant can accommodate over 100 guests and also a party area. McDonald’s also brings its scrumptious food to the doorstep for customers to relish their favourite food in the comfort of their homes and offices through McDelivery service.

“We have a separate kitchen for veg and non-veg items and our customers can be assured that they will get authentic vegetarian dishes. We have also re-engineered the menu to bring down sodium and oil content in our products by 20% and 40% respectively. All the patties are preservative free, and the soft serves are 96% fat-free and are made of 100% milk. The refined flour wraps have been replaced with whole grain wraps to make it more wholesome”, he added.

Hardcastle Restaurants currently operates 287 McDonald’s outlets in West and South India. In Kerala, McDonald’s has outlets in Kochi, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kollam and Kozhikode.
