CII to organise Water Summit & Expo on Water Resource Management


Trivandrum: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing a National Summit & Expo on Water Resource Management on 06 March 2018 at Thiruvananthapuram. The theme selected for the summit is ‘Smarter Solutions for a Better Tomorrow’.

The Water Summit offers an extensive Water Expo, a high-level conference and an exclusive matchmaking platform enabling attendees to successfully connect with the stakeholders to witness and learn more about the latest innovative technologies impacting the industry. This conference will bring together all the stakeholders on a common platform to share the compelling concerns, and suggest sustainable water management solutions which can be implemented to enhance the efficiency & water security in Kerala.

The summit will focus on the areas like Water technologies and services, Water Demand Supply management, water auditing, Conservation and Groundwater Management, Climate change effect on water resources, urban flooding , Future of Water & Sanitation, Groundwater mining and quality, Groundwater conservation and recharge, wetlands and watershed management, Rainwater harvesting, Water Utilities, Innovations and Collaborations for Water Management.

Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan is expected to inaugurate the Summit and Kerala Governor, Shri Justice (Retd) P Sathasivam will deliver the valedictory address. Other dignitaries for the summit would be Minister for Water Resources, Shri Mathew T Thomas; Tom Jose IAS, Additional Chief Secretary – Water Resources.

The key participants for the summit will be Policymakers and Regulators, Municipal Corporations, International and national development consultants, Public and private investment entities, Water resource managers, Global and National Research Institutions for Water Resource Management, Bulk water suppliers, Financial Institutions, Wastewater treatment firms, Representatives of Beverages companies, Sustainably professionals, Aquifers and Purifiers.
