Trivandrum: Kerala will have a representation at the Commonwealth Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAYE) summit to be held in London from December 7 – 9, 2016 with two entrepreneurs from the State being part of a 16 member strong delegation from India.
Veliyath Mathews and Nishant Nambiar, past Chairmen of Young Indians Trivandrum chapter, are the two representatives from Kerala at this event. The delegation is expected to visit London and be part of the event which will be attended by the Mayor of London, MPs of Parliament and other top leaders from the London community.
According to a press release from CII, the delegations will also be visiting Tech accelerators, Google Campus and the London School of Economics as part of the tour and will hold discussions with entrepreneurs. The team of entrepreneurs from all the Commonwealth member nations will be signing a communiqué which will be circulated to the heads of the respective government and will be part of the policy making for the entrepreneurship.
The Commonwealth Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAYE) works to strengthen and support the ambitions of young entrepreneurs in Commonwealth regions. CAYE-Asia was established in 2011 as a network of young entrepreneurs from nine countries across the Asia region and their respective organisations. It commits to supporting young entrepreneurs across the region; creating a network for mentorship and advisory services to young entrepreneurs; contributing to human capital development through education and training; providing information on access to finance and other resources; sharing replicable best practices across the region; creating business linkages; and influencing policy mechanisms for entrepreneurial development.
