Trivandrum: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will organize a conference on Health and Wellness Tourism on November 15, 2016. The programme aims at creating a strong platform to exchange best practices and experiences, discuss challenges and opportunities, future perspectives and changes in Medical & Wellness Tourism Sector.
The conference would also highlight the emerging trends, discuss preparedness of hospitals etc and will be a congregation of major Allopathic and Ayurveda Hospitals, Tourism Promotion Boards, Hotels and resorts, Health Travel and Tour operators and international institutions for promotion of health tourism. It is also an excellent opportunity to explore new ways to actively penetrate in and attract more tourists from the new emerging markets as well as discuss actions aimed to promote Kerala as one of the favourable and upcoming Medical and Wellness Tourism Destination.
Shri Justice P Sathasivam, Governor of Kerala, is expected to inaugurate the conference. A special delegation from Abu Dhabi and Maldives would also participate in the programme.
According to a press release, the full day programme would be attended by practitioners and professionals in the field of Medical and Health tourism, Indian and Foreign Tour operators, Institutes imparting Medical and wellness tourism education, Doctors, Medics and Medical Superintends, Medical equipment companies, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology companies, Ayurveda companies, Insurance companies, Hotels & Hospitality Industry, Medical journalists, fitness centres & clubs, students of medical colleges, Hospital owners, directors & administrators amongst others.
