Trivandrum: Manjilas Double Horse, a leading player in the processed food segment in Kerala, has introduced its Banana Chips. Double Horse is known for its superior quality and tasty food products.
The Double Horse Banana Chips was formally launched by dancer actor Shobana at Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of Vinod Manjila, Managing Director, Manjilas Group and Sunil P Krishnan, GM – Marketing.
Briefing the media, Vinod said, “Our Banana chips are healthy as it has 50% less oil. The chips are made using only fresh Kerala Bananas. Raw bananas are collected directly from farms, cleaned well, thinly and equally sliced and very hygienically fried in pure vegetable oil. No artificial flavours or preservatives are added. Excess oil is removed and a pinch of salt is added for enhancing that incredible taste before packing in flavour-lock packs which have long shelf life of up to six months. So every golden disc remains crunchier and delicious but less oily than any other normal banana chips.”
“We usually launch a new product for Onam and this year it’s the perfect time for golden-hued, crispy and incredibly tasty ‘Kaya Varuthathu’ or Banana Chips and Double Horse Banana Chips is all set to make the celebration happier”, he added.
Double Horse Banana Chips is priced at Rs. 25 for a 30 gm pack and Rs. 40 for a 60 gm pack. The product will be available at all leading supermarkets and hypermarkets across Kerala. The company will be looking at the Middle East in a big way.
“The launch of Banana Chips marks the beginning of Double Horse’s entry in to the snacking space as well. Going forward, we intend to come out with a number of other snacking options so that Keralite taste can be offered to the customers the world over. Apart from Domestic market, the brand is being exported to around 30 countries across the world”, said Sunil.
