Startup Magic Incubator to come up at Kinfra Film & Video Park, Trivandrum


Trivandrum: The city based Academy of Magical Sciences (Magic Planet) has announced the launch of a research and innovation hub for magic, Startup Magic at the Kinfra Film and Video Park at Kazhakootam, on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram.

Startup Magic will be inaugurated by the Minister for Industries, Shri E P Jayarajan on June 16, 2016. Magic Planet is launching this project in association with the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA).

Announcing the Startup Magic at a press conference today, Gopinath Muthukad, Executive Director, Magic Academy said, “The art of magic is executed with scientific principles to facilitate the mind blowing wonders which simultaneously amazes and teaches the secrets of science. Startup magic, the world’s first such initiative, is started with the aim of promoting research and innovation in the field of magic and also to pass on the secrets of this great legacy to the next generation through new teaching techniques which enable them to understand the logic and science behind the magical art.”

Startup Magic is designed with international standards and is equipped with most modern tools for studying magic. The start up has a vast array of National and international magic books, e-book library, specialised faculties, video conferencing facilities, numerous magic videos, lecturer demonstration facilities, and interaction sessions with eminent magicians etc.

The centre also aims at mentoring, training and knowledge dissemination and rounting best practices through research in magic. It will be an arena for young magicians where they can take up research oriented study, online magic education, virtual library systems and other developmental initiatives on a steady and continuous process.

The Magic Academy’s edutainment park, Magic Planet is a magic themed park is also located at the Kinfra Film and Video Park.
